The 402388-11R Potentiometer is a 120 Volts and 50-Hertz rated 70-inch potentiometer module that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley and that provides variable resistive components to adjust, regulate, and control the power in a controller system. It features a CMC Electromagnetic Compatibility compliance rating that is indicated by an adhesive label found on top of the drive. The 402388-11R Potentiometer can be installed in an enclosure that is 12.5 centimeters wide and that has an opening on top that is less than 1.0 centimeter. To avoid electromagnetic emissions and capacitive currents which can cause damage, a short cable is deployed since the 402388-11R Potentiometer Module is ungrounded and does not use line filters.
The Allen-Bradley 402388-11R Potentiometer Module generates a low-frequency disturbance on the AC power supply as it operates. Its enclosure rating is IP 66 NEMA/UL Type 4X/12 in order to seal the holes that are not used on the conduit entry plate with the plugs that are designed to be fully seated against the entry holes’ conduits for a complete seal. It uses an AC power source with PowerFlex 70 drives and this power source is capable of delivering up to 200,000 Amps RMS of systematic current at 600 Volts maximum voltage. The control and signal lines are separated by at least 1 foot/0.3 meters of space for safety and to avoid signal interference, and these separated lines can be installed either by the end users or preinstalled by the manufacturer. It can tolerate intermittent voltage spikes above 600 Volts.
