The 2198-D032-ERS3 is a Dual Axis Kinetix Servo Drive that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This drive is part of the Kinetix 5700 Ethernet I/P servo system. This drive implement motion control over the provided dual Ethernet I/P communication interface that may be designed to implement linear, star and Device Level Ring (DLR) topology.

This drive provides continuous output power rating of of 4.5 kW at 240V input voltage, and 8.9 kW output power at 480V input voltage. The continuous output current of the 2198-D032-ERS3 is 18.3 A while the continuous peak current of 45.9 A. The drive’s maximum velocity loop is 400 Hz, Current loop of 1000 Hz and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) frequency of 4 kHz.

To implement these integrated safety, this kinetix drive must be controlled using the GuardLogix 5580 and CompactLogix 5380 for Time Safe Stop 1 and ControlLogix 5570 or CompactLogix 5370 for Integrated STO mode.

Its Dual Ethernet ports provide support for both linear and device level ring (DLR) topologies. It uses single wire for tuning which simplifies installation and saving space.
