About 1719-CBL

The 1719-CBL is an Ex I/O chassis extension cable for the products available through the Allen-Bradley 1719 Ex I/O product series. The 1719 Ex I/O series is designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The 1719 Ex I/O product series covers several different types of components and it includes communication adapters, digital/analog inputs, power supplies, backplanes, connection cables, terminal blocks, and placeholders. The 1719-CBL Ex I/O cable is used for connecting the backplane base and it is intended for use with the 1719 Ex I/O module systems. It should be mentioned that this chassis extension cable features a cord set with double ends and it has 15 pins with 2 sub threadings (1 and 2) with a male connector. The 1719 Ex I/O module series offers an I/O backplane with different base chassis assemblies with 22 or 8 pins, along with a 24-slot extension chassis assembly.

Depending on the chosen chassis assembly, the 1719 backplane has 1 or 2 available slots for an adapter and 1 or 3 available slots for a power supply. These backplanes have a maximum safe voltage of 60 Volts DC and they operate within the input voltage range of 18 to 32 Volts DC. Also, the 1719 Ex I/O series backplane conforms with the EN 61326-1:2013 electromagnetic compatibility directive 2014/30/EU and it has an IEC 60529 protection level. In addition to that, the backplane features an IP20 enclosure and it is approved by UL (E106378) and IECEx (IECEx BVS 16.0047 X / Ex nA IIC T4 Gc). The 1719-CBL Ex I/O chassis extension cable features an operating temperature range of -20 to 60 degrees Celsius (-4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) and it can be stored in a temperature range of -25 to 85 degrees Celsius (-13 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit). The 1719-CBL extension cable is 100 centimeters (39,3 inches) long and it weighs only 135 grams (0.29 pounds).
