The Allen-Bradley 1719-TB8 is an Ex I/O 8 pole screw terminal. This terminal is used to simplify the installation of Allen-Bradley’s 1719 distributed I/O systems. The 1719-TB8 is an accessory that is available for field wiring. This 8-point terminal block is designed to enable the quick connection of various field devices to the front sockets of the Bulletin 1719 I/O modules. Wire connections on the terminal are secured by implementing the side screws. The color of the screw terminal is blue. The 1719-TB8 is not applicable to all I/O modules. The list of compatible I/O modules includes the 1719-CF4H (Ex I/O 4-Channel HART Analog-Configurable), the 1719-OB2 (Ex I/O 2 Point Digital Output 23 Volts), the 1719-OB2L (Ex I/O 2 Point Digital Output 16.5 Volts), and the 1719-ARM (Ex I/O Empty Slot Cover).

This securing accessory is pushed into the grooves visible from the front side of sockets on the I/O modules. This is a simple way to implement an exclusive assignment between I/O modules and their belonging screw terminal blocks. The dimensions of this 8-pin terminal are 40.9 millimeters by 15.3 millimeters by 11.1 millimeters (1.61 inches by 0.60 inches by 0.44 inches). The 1719-TB8 is connected or detached in a simple manner for the easy commissioning and maintenance of distributed I/O systems. Through these blocks, ground wires are connected, so these screw terminal blocks play a really important role when it comes to personal safety and equipment safety. The input holes on the terminal are clearly marked with numbers from 1 to 8.
