It is made to handle machine control applications like high-speed digital machine control and process machine control. The Allen-Bradley 5094-IY8XT FLEX 5000 analog input module can connect to multiple Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 controllers through its 8 inputs and with the Producer/Consumer technology that its architecture uses. Allen-Bradley FLEX 5000 input modules like this one can be used as remote I/O modules with the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 5580, CompactLogix 5380, and CompactLogix 5480 Logix 5000 controllers. The Allen-Bradley 5094-IY8XT FLEX 5000 analog input module needs to mounted on a separate terminal base assembly so that it can accommodate field-side wiring.
