The 1746SC-INO4VI is a 4-channel isolated analog output with selectable voltage and currents. It is manufactured by spectrum controls and it is to be used with the 1746 processors. The 1746SC-INO4VI is an I/O module. The module has a backplane current requirement of 120 mA at 5 Volts DC and 250 mA at 24 Volts DC when connected without an external power supply. When connecting the module, the users need to select the source of the power supply. This switch is located at the bottom corner of the module’s circuit board. The Spectrum Control’s module with catalog number 1746SC-INO4VI is an analog output module with four (4) individually isolated channels. Each channel of this module is compatible with 0-20 mA, 0-21 mA and 4-20 mA current signals as well as 0-5 V, 1-5 V, 0-10 V and ±10 V signals.

The 1746SC-INO4VI is compatible for use with the SLC500 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Each channel comes with a built-in digital to analog converter circuit with output resolution of 16-bits, specifically, 366 nA per count for current and 320 uA per count for voltage. When terminating signal wires to this module, recommended cable is Belden 8761 or equivalent cable. This cable is a Shielded twisted-pair cable with #22 wire size.
