The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RP2 Series F logic module is a logic module for Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 6 terminals. It is compatible with the PanelView Plus 700 to 1500 series terminals. The 2711P-RP2 Series F logic module includes 128 MB of RAM and 128 MB of flash memory and it is designed for DC input. The 2711P-RP2 Series F logic module is compatible with the FactoryTalk View ME version 4.0 software. Series F logic modules such as the 2711P-RP2 Series F logic module are compatible with the PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus CE Compact Flash cards. Logic modules for PanelView terminals such as the 2711P-RP2 Series F logic module have the following features: status indicators, communication ports such as Ethernet, serial, and USB ports, a CompactFlash card slot, input power, and RAM and internal flash memory with the operating system and firmware.

Logic modules such as the 2711P-RP2 Series F logic module are available from Allen-Bradley as separate items. They are shipped either with or without installed memory units. If the internal CompactFlash and RAM are ordered separately, then they need to be installed prior to connecting the logic module to the display module. If the logic module and display module are ordered separately, then they need to be connected before the terminal installation. The power should be disconnected from the terminal and the technician performing the installation should wear an ESD wristband to prevent electrostatic discharge. The display module should be set display-side down on a flat surface, and then the logic module should be pushed down after the connectors on the logic module align with the connectors on the display module.
