The 2711P-RP9D Series A logic module is a logic module from the PanelView Plus series. The logic module has been manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is compatible with the Allen-Bradley 700 to 1500 series interface terminals. The module is equipped with 512 MB of RAM. The RAM stores the running instruction files for the interface terminal. The RAM is a non-volatile memory and it can only store when the power supply is on. To supply power when the external supply is out, a backup battery is available which powers the RAM. The module takes in DC input. The 2711P-RP9D Series A logic module communicates through the Ethernet port, RS-232 port, and the network interface communication module. The module comes with an LED indicator that shows the network activity of the communication. The logic module can also be connected to a personal computer for uploading and downloading instruction files. The FactoryTalk View Machine Edition software running on the Windows OS is used for designing the application programs and logic. The module is Marine-certified and it meets the KC standard.

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RP9D Series A logic module houses 2 USB ports for connecting accessory devices, a serial port, and Ethernet ports. An external SD card can also be added to the logic module. The module also comes with PDF viewer support which makes it easier to access the PDF files in the terminal itself. A battery-backed real-time clock is also present in the module. It timestamps different critical events of the application process. The 2711P-RP9D Series A logic module is not water-resistant and it should be protected against liquid splashes and it should also be placed in a clean and dry environment with no trace of harmful gases and vapors.
