Manufactured by Allen-Bradley, the 2711-T10C16 Series F terminal is a PanelView 1000 display terminal. The 2711-T10C16 Series F terminal features the EtherNet/IP network Protocol and it is initially set to the DHCP with BootP server support enabled. The Allen-Bradley 2711-T10C16 Series F terminal can be connected to the EtherNet/IP network and the DHCP BootP server, allowing automated IP address picking. If the 2711-T10C16 Series F terminal is connected to an EtherNet/IP network and features a similar IP address to another device on the same network, the devices drop off the network. The Allen-Bradley PanelView 1000 display terminals like this one come with a power supply voltage of 85 to 264 Volts AC with 47 to 63 Hertz frequency. The units should not be connected to power until all the wiring connections are made. This prevents users from being injured by possible electric shock.
The 2711-T10C16 Series F terminal feature a safe design, and it can be installed in a NEMA Type 12, 13, or the 4X rated enclosure. The DC-rated PanelView terminals should not be connected to an AC power source. Note that if these kinds of terminals are connected to an AC power source, there is the risk of damaging the terminals. Resetting the terminals is likely to initialize the PanelView terminals, which is the same as cycling the power. If the terminal needs to be reset, make sure to use non-conducting objects to avoid damaging the terminal. The 2711-T10C16 Series F terminal is programmed to run a series of self-tests whenever it is connected to power. This is to ensure that the unit provides optimal functionality.
