Allen Bradley’s 2711-B5A12L1 unit is an obsolete PanelView, belonging to the PanelView 550 product line of HMI terminals. This flexible unit should be kept within a temperature range of 32 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit, while operational. While in storage, this unit’s perfect ambient temperature zone is between -4 and 158 degrees Fahrenheit. To avoid a short module lifespan, mount the 2711-B5A12L1 at or lower than 2000 meters. It can withstand up to 2 g of vibration (2000 Hertz) and around 30 g of shock while operating. To keep the module from damage, pair it with a NEMA Type enclosure of version 12, 13, or 4X, or an IEC IP54/IP65 enclosure. This Human-Module Interface (HMI) provides a straightforward method of interface with its 5.5 inch, blue monochrome touchscreen display, and its stainless steel bezel keypad. Both the touchscreen and the keypad can be utilized to input important information, which will then be stamped with the date and time by this unit’s battery-backed clock. This unit’s backlight is an LED backlight that lights up the module’s front panel and can be used for around 100,000 hours before requiring replacement by a 2711-NL1 part. The 2711-B5A12L1 has an RS-232 Printer and Communication port, which requires a 2711-NC13 type cable to actually connect to the module’s network. This unit is powered by 24 Volts of DC power. Its internal memory of 170 KB application runtime and 240 KB of nonvolatile RAM are complemented by the memory card slot in the back of this unit, which can support an ATA flash memory card for additional external storage.
