2711-T5A1 Product Details

The Allen-Bradley 2711-T5A1 is a PanelView 550 Operator Terminal with a touch-screen input display. It is a human-machine interface device that features a 5.5-inch display size, 256 x 128 resolution, and monochrome LCD blue mode. It has an internal memory of 170 KBs of application runtime, and it comes with a standard DeviceNet communication port for network connectivity. In addition, its RS-232 Printer Port can connect to the RS-232 Port of a computer for application transfers. The flat-panel 2711-T5A1 graphic terminal accepts input from users via its screen touch display. It is composed of 128 touch cells, arranged in 16 columns and 8 rows. User commands and functions are initiated by Interactive Screen Objects like the ON and OFF buttons. These occupy one or more of the touch cells within the display. Screen objects can be activated with a bare or gloved hand. A plastic stylus device can also be used. Take note of the 1millimeter minimum tip radius to avoid damage.

A replaceable Halogen backlight provides backlighting for the PV550 2711-T5A1 LCD Display. This comes with a replacement part number of 2711-NL1. A cover at the back of the terminal provides access to this light. The backlighting can be turned on or off, or set in timed mode for user convenience.  The user can control the unit using the touchscreen to input information and commands. This unit is powered by 24 volts of DC power. The approximate shipping weight and dimensions are 5 pounds and 14 x 11 x 8 inches.
