2711-T5A10 Product Details

The Allen-Bradley 2711-T5A10 is a touch-screen model in the obsolete PanelView 550 Operator series. This flat-panel terminal works as an interface device for machines. It has a monochrome LCD blue mode display measuring 5.5 inches, with a 256 x 128 resolution. It comes with an application runtime internal memory of 170 KB. It also has a replaceable Halogen backlight with replacement part number 2711-NL1. For the user’s convenience, the backlight can be turned on, off or set in timed mode. The 2711-T5A10 uses Windows software PanelBuilder32 to create PanelView applications on a personal computer. Its Memory Card Slot transfers stored applications in the memory card to the terminal. Its FAULT Status Indicator (Red) signals a fault in firmware or hardware, and the COMM Status Indicator (Green) signals that communication is occurring. Plus, it features an RS-232 Printer Port and a DeviceNet Communication port for network connectivity.

The touchscreen display of the PV550 2711-T5A10 Monochrome Terminal is composed of 16 columns x 8 rows of touch cells. The interactive screen objects used to initiate commands and functions, such as the ON and OFF buttons, occupy one or more of the 128 touch cells. When the application is built, these interactive screen objects align with touch cells. A bare or gloved hand can operate the touchscreen. A plastic stylus device can also be used, but to prevent damage, take note of the 1millimeter minimum tip radius. This unit runs 24 Volt DC power and has an internal memory of 170 KBs of application runtime. This unit has an internal backlight replacement part number of 2711-NL1. The approximate shipping weight and dimensions are 5 pounds and 14 x 11 x 8 inches. The most common Series are A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and the most common firmware include 1.00-4.48.
