About 2711-T5A2

The obsolete Allen-Bradley 2711-T5A2 terminal is a touch-screen graphic device with a 256 x 128 screen resolution. It is a DC-powered LCD blue mode PanelView 550 Monochrome Terminal.  The 2711-T5A2 is designed to be mounted in a panel or enclosure with NEMA Type 12 or 13 or NEMA 4X rating. Electric circuitry and an internal fuse protect the terminal from power surges and polarity reversal. To input commands and functions, use the Interactive Screen Objects. These occupy the 128 touch cells that make up the 2711-T5A2’s touch-screen display.  Gloved fingers, bare fingers, or a stylus can activate the touchscreen. If using a stylus, take note of the 1mm minimum tip radius. The 2711-T5A2 has high readability with a backlight that can be switched on or off, or set in timed mode. The halogen backlight is replaceable.  The 2711-T5A2 Human-Machine Interface terminal comes with a DH-485 Communication Port. This port can connect the device to a Wallmount Power, single (point-to-point) or multiple MicroLogix or SLC controllers over a DH-485 network by using a 1747-C10 communication cable. It has an expandable application runtime internal memory of 170 KB.
