2711-T5A20 Product Details

The Allen-Bradley 2711-T5A20 is an interface device for machines. This 5.5-inch touch-screen terminal is one of Allen-Bradley’s blue-mode monochrome LCD PanelView 550 Operator Terminals.  It has a 256 x 128 screen resolution composed of 128 touch cells (16 columns x 8 rows). These cells constitute the interactive screen objects that users can touch to initiate commands. A bare or gloved hand or a 1-millimeter minimum tip radius stylus can operate the touchscreen.  The 2711-T5A20 Monochrome Terminal has an Ethernet Communication Port and uses a standard EtherNet/IP cable. It connects to an SLC 5/05 or PLC-5E controller over an EtherNet/IP network. It can also provide connectivity with a CompactLogix, ControlLogix, FlexLogix, or MicroLogix controller using the appropriate bridge module. It plugs into a printer with its RS-232 Printer Port. For safety when wiring, incoming power should be routed separately from communication cables.  The 2711-T5A20 has an expandable internal memory of 170 KB. Applications stored in flash drives can be accessed using the Memory Card Slot on the back panel. This terminal has a red FAULT status indicator that indicates a problem with the hardware or firmware while its green COMM status indicator signals that communication is going on. To develop the terminal’s PanelView applications on a personal computer, PanelBuilder32 software is required.
