The Allen-Bradley 2711-T5A2L1 Series A PanelView Standard terminal is an operator interface terminal from the PanelView 1000 series that is designed to give a simplified graphical interface to machine-level applications. This terminal has a very compact and flat panel design that makes it suitable for applications with limited panel space, and it features advanced functionality and graphics capabilities that offer the users rugged interface solutions to meet all of their application requirements. The 2711-T5A2L1 Series A terminal offers a 5.5-inch monochrome LCD blue mode display screen and an analog resistive touchscreen for application visualization and data input. It has a non-replaceable LED backlight (with up to 100,000 hours of half-life) and a battery-backed real-time clock. The 2711-T5A2L1 Series A terminal has 170 KB of runtime application memory and 112 KB of non-volatile memory for storing application objects, text, and bitmaps. It supports ATA memory card use for importing applications from the PanelBuilder32 software, language fonts, and firmware upgrades.

The PanelBuilder32 configuration software utilizes the Microsoft Windows graphical interface, pre-configured symbols, color palettes, objects, and graphics for simplified screen configuration. The 2711-T5A2L1 Series A terminal has a DC voltage requirement and an input range of 18 to 32 Volts DC. It has a power consumption rating of 18 Watts and a current rating of 0.75 Amps at 24 Volts DC nominal input. The 2711-T5A2L1 Series A terminal has an RS-232 (DH-485) port which provides point-to-point communication with Allen-Bradley MicroLogix and SLC 500 controllers for high priority data by using the DH-485 protocol.
