The 2711-T5A9 is an operator interface manufactured by Allen Bradley from its Panelview 550 Series. It enables the user to interact with their machines; this operator interface has a 5.5 inch, monochrome blue mode 256 x 128 pixel resolution, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) having a 120 x 60 millimeter display area and a 128-touch-cell touchscreen user input for entering commands and information to the machine. It has an internal LED backlight which has a life of 100,000 hours while the replacement part number is 2711-NL1. It features an internal memory of 170 Kb application runtime and is powered by 24 Volts DC with an 18 Watt maximum power consumption at 0.75A and 24 Volts DC. For connectivity, this human-machine interface uses the installed PanelBuilder 32 software, an RS-232 communication printer port, and an RS-232 (DH-485) communication port using a 2711-NC13 communication cable. This HMI has a battery-backed real-time clock that timestamps important data. This battery can be replaced by operators/users; available mostly in Series A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, the most common firmware being 1.00 to 4.48.

The 2711-T5A9 makes programming easier and increases operator productivity.  It can communicate with SLC and PLC controllers via remote I/O networks, ControlNet, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, DH+, and DH-485, or via its serial communication port. It exhibits ATA memory card, screen security, advanced alarm, universal language, analog gauges and online printing for greater intelligent operator control.
