The PanelView 600 Standard Operator terminal with catalog number 22711-B6C8 is a discontinued Human Machine Interface (HMI) device that is part of Allen-Bradley’s visualization components. This product is a rugged electronic device that is compatible for use with almost any industry as it is a general purpose operator monitoring and control interface suitable for installation near machine or within the Plant-floor level.

The 2711-B6C8 aids in a more efficient control as it centralizes monitoring of the process and allows control and interaction to the system all in the same convenient place where the HMI is installed. It allows monitoring through the 5-inch colored screen, with display area of 115 x 86 mm (4.54 x 3.4 in.). and resolution of 320 x 234 pixels. It permits process interaction through the keypad assembly or the touch sensitive screen, both designed up to 1 million actuations. The keypad buttons, specifically the F1 to F10 functions are fully programmable while the touch input permits direct interaction to runtime objects.

Data is sent and received by partner devices via the data Highway Plus (DH+) communication protocol using a 3-conductor wire. Compatible communication partners include Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) such as PLC5, SLC500, MicroLogix, ompactLogix and ControlLogix. Some 3rd party controllers may also be compatible with this HMI device including protocol converters and gateways. The 2711-B6C8 also has a secondary port used for alarm printing and logging of messages.

The 2711-B6C8 is powered by a a voltage supply range of 83-264 Volts AC power along a frequency range of 47 to 63 Hz. The built-in memory of the device amounts to 170 KB application runtime and 240 KB nonvolatile memory.

Additionally, this terminal communicates via the built-in DH+ communication interface and RS-232 Printer communication ports, while using a 2711-NC14 communication cable. The user is able to control the Human-Machine Interface using either the keypad or touchscreen to input information and data.

This 2711-B6C8 unit is powered using 85 to 264 Volts of AC power and has 240 KB of internal memory. It has a replaceable backlight, with appropriate replacement part number of 2711-NL5.
