2711P-RP8A

The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RP8A is a logic module with 512MB of non-volatile RAM that uses AC voltage as a power source. It is compatible with PanelView Plus 6 700-1500 operator terminals. Due to its adjustable memory and capability in complex applications, this logic module can work in harsh environments. The Network interface for the 2711P-RP8A can connect to it with the CompactFlash, Ethernet, and USB ports available in this logic module. The module has flashing indicators for process identification and there are provisions to perform control panel operations or even connect to third-party applications at the click of a button. Although there are standard features like a command shell, a common dialog box, and a PDF reader with the 2711P-RP8A, there are also extended features like remote desktop connectivity, Media Player options, and a Wordpad Text editor. Make sure to connect the protective earth terminal to a low impedance ground. To avoid the loss of saved settings, make sure to connect the display module when the 2711P-RP8A is powered off.

Integrated with the 2711P-RP8A are internal memories pre allocated amounting to 512MB Flash Memory and 512MB Random Access Memory (RAM). This memory allocation cannot be modified however, may be upgraded by installing CompactFlash memories. The RAM is used utilized during the operator terminal runtime while the Flash memory is used for storing HMI files and data.

The 2711P-RP8A comes with the standard communication interfaces such as One (1) Ethernet, One 9-pin sub-D serial connection interface and Two (2) USB peripheral ports. It also hosts the power terminals for wiring of external supply voltage ranging 100-240 VAC with 50-60 Hz frequency.
