The Allen-Bradley 1394-AM75 is a multi-axis module. This one is heavier than other multi-axis modules at 15.7 pounds. This module’s 310 to 390 Volts DC power is same as that of the 1394-AM50, yet it delivers more power and current than the latter. The output power of this module is 23.9 kW, and the output current is 35 Amps. The 1394-AM75 has advanced protective features including software-based current foldback, which eliminates the need for isolation transformers or inductors. This software-based feature also provides overload tolerant operation and soft current limiting.
This module cuts costs and has input protection mechanisms for transient (MOV) voltage, phase loss, and ground fault. There is no need to buy external protection equipment for this module, but be sure to read the manual before mounting or installing this module to understand three things: how to store the 1394 before installation, how to unpack it and the axis modules, and how to determine the minimum mounting requirements. In addition, pay attention to the ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) sensitive parts and assemblies. Static control precautions are required when installing, testing, servicing, or repairing this assembly.
