The Allen-Bradley 1394-SJT22T is a system module for servo controls and an analog interface. In 22 kW systems, this module has a feature called smart power that provides an active Soft Start inrush current limiting for DC link charging. There is also a power monitor on this feature which allows you to check the power status. The 1394-SJT22T has a CNC interface system. The CNC interface provides a digital servo system to be used with the 9/260 and 9/290 CNC. This system provides all power electronics and uses a cost-saving digital interface.
The 1394-SJT22T provides various communicating options including encoder feedback, RS-232 and RS-422 serial communications, DH-485, AxisLink, Remote I/O, Flex I/O, and SLC Interface (Direct connection). Refer to the manual for the locations of the communicating connections. The serial communications of the 1394-SJT22T use 9-pin, AT compatible, DB-9 connectors and are identically wired. The contactor for the 1394-SJT22T has 600 Volts AC and 37 Amps as the rating. The AC coil operator recommended for this system module is the Allen-Bradley 100-C37x10. The Allen-Bradley 100-C37Zx10 is also recommended for DC coil operation. A surge suppressor is required for this system module. During installation, pay attention to the grounding system, EMI, and RFI when connecting the shunt module for the 22 kW system. If the shunt module is mounted outside the cabinet, the shunt power cables and fan wiring must be inside the metal conduit to minimize the levels of EMI and RFI.
