About JD2100

The JD2100 is a 2-pole Type JD Cutler-Hammer thermal-magnetic circuit breaker manufactured by Eaton. It belongs to the Series C family of Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers and it has a rating of 600 Volts AC maximum operating voltage, 100 Amp trip current, and 35, 55, 18, and 10 kiloamperes interrupting capacity at 480, 240, 600 Volts AC, and 250 Volts DC, respectively. Its dimensions in inches are 10 x 4.13 x 4.6 inches and it weighs 4.989 kilograms. It is suitable for overload and short circuit protection in different single-phase systems (for live and neutral power on the line and load terminals) or 2-phase systems that do not require the neutral pole to be connected to the circuit breaker. It is also ideal for equipment control applications.

The JD2100 circuit breaker features interchangeable trip units, screw type clamp terminals on the line and load sides, and an adjustable magnetic trip as well as the adjustable thermal trip. The magnetic trip can be adjusted to support up 5 to 10 times its continuous current rating. It is factory assembled and comprises the frame, circuit breaker components, trip units, and terminals. It has a rugged design to save mounting space and it supports both DIN rail and panel board mounting options. Optionally, accessories such as an alarm switch shunt trip or undervoltage release mechanisms can be used with the JD2100 circuit breaker, depending on the user’s or the machine’s requirements. To ensure smooth operation, all the terminals of the JD2100 circuit breaker should be appropriately fastened to prevent arcing, overheating, and nuisance trips.
