About KD2350

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer KD2350 is a Series C molded case circuit breaker. The KD2350 has an interchangeable trip unit and it has line and load side lug terminals. The KD2350 uses a thermal-magnetic trip unit. This kind of a tripping unit uses an electromagnet which responds to large current surges. The KD2350 tripping also has a bimetallic strip that responds to smaller current surges which stay slightly longer than bigger surges. The thermal part of the tripping unit takes time to induce a trip. With the thermal feature, the KD2350 trips almost instantaneously in large current surges while it lets smaller surges last for a bit longer before it trips. The Eaton KD2350 molded case circuit breaker has 2 poles and a maximum amperage rating of 350 Amps.



Additionally, the KD2350 has a K-frame type and it is part of KD line of circuit breakers manufactured by the Eaton Corporation. The circuit breaker complies with standards and certifications defined by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the Association of German Engineers, and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), among others on both a global and a regional level. The KD2350, as with other Eaton molded case circuit breakers, meets or exceeds the specifications defined under the Federal Specifications. Additionally, Eaton allows the KD2350 to be ordered with extra documentation for the test reports done on the frame, trip unit, etc. Note that the KD2350 is designed to be used in protecting circuits that are powered by a 1-phase power source.
