About KT3225T

The Eaton KT3225T is a Series C trip unit for Eaton circuit breakers. The KT3225T is a UL certified device. It is designed for use with high, ultra-high, and standard interrupting frames. The KT3225T is installed in K-Frame, Series C circuit breakers from Eaton. The KT3225T is rated for 225 Amps. It is a three-pole device which uses thermal-magnetic tripping. The thermal element enables a time delay on the temperature overload. When a 135% overload occurs, the thermal element will cause tripping within two hours. When the overload exceeds 135%, the thermal element will cause tripping in less than two hours. The thermal element can be adjusted through a button that is provided on the trip unit. To achieve the desired configuration, the button is rotated with a screwdriver.



Short circuit protection is provided by the magnetic element. Instantaneous tripping occurs when the current is more than the magnetic element setting. Buttons are also provided for adjusting the magnetic element setting. The buttons can be rotated with a screwdriver to achieve the desired trip setting. To prevent serious injury, death, or property damage, it is recommended to install the KT3225T when the equipment is not energized. Local safety and health procedures should also be followed to ensure personnel and equipment safety. The KT3225T is available in a NEMA K-frame. The dimensions of the device are 10.13 x 5.5 x 4.10 inches. Factory calibration of the KT3225T is performed at 40 degrees Celsius. The cover on the KT3225T is sealed to prevent calibration tampering.
