About HLD2600

The Cutler-Hammer/Westinghouse HLD2600 is a complete L-Frame molded case circuit breaker. The breaker is manufactured to be used in circuits that have a maximum rated current of 600 Amps. The HLD2600, as with other Westinghouse molded case circuit breakers with an L-Frame, provides the option of either being factory assembled or field assembled. When a field-assembled HLD2600 is required, the breaker is ordered in its constituent parts (frame, trip unit, and terminals). The advantage of a user-assembled HLD2600 circuit breaker is that it allows its internal components, including the trip unit, to be replaced individually. The HLD2600 molded case circuit breaker has 2 poles and it belongs to the Series C group of circuit breakers from Cutler-Hammer.



The tripping mechanism for the HLD2600 uses thermal magnetic features to protect a circuit from short circuits and overloads. The HLD2600 is HACR-rated, like all other circuit breakers with an L-frame type. The HLD2600 has an interrupt rating of 35 Kiloamps interrupt capacity at 600 Volts AC and 100 Kiloamps interrupt capacity at 240 Volts AC. The Cutler-Hammer HLD2600 has a maximum operating voltage marked at 600 Volts AC or 250 Volts DC when used in the AC and DC circuits, respectively. The operating frequency for the HLD2600 is capped at between 50 and 60 Hertz although it can be factory calibrated for other frequency ranges. The circuit breaker has the line and load side lug terminals. Note that the terminals are made from aluminum. The circuit breaker is suitable for use in switchboards and motor control centers.
