About HND3800T52W

The HND3800T52W circuit breaker is a circuit breaker from Eaton. The breaker is part of the series C HND product line of circuit breakers manufactured by Eaton Cutler-Hammer. The HND3800T52W circuit breaker is shipped as a complete breaker with a non-interchangeable trip unit. Additionally, the circuit breaker has a high interrupting capacity and is housed in a molded case. Note that the HND3800T52W circuit breaker is supplied without lugs and without a rating plug. The circuit breaker is intended to be used with 3-phase power systems and it has a voltage rating of 600 Volts AC. The breaker supports bolt-on connections and it has an N-frame size.

The Eaton Cutler-Hammer HND3800T52W circuit breaker has an interrupt capacity of 65 kA at 480 Volts AC and 35 kA at 600 Volts AC. The breaker has 3 poles. Note that the current at or above which the circuit breaker will trip is also known as the long-time pickup, and it is not adjustable. However, the HND3800T52W circuit breaker features an LED status indicator to show if a trip is pending. Although the long-time delay is not adjustable, there is a memory effect that can shorten the long delay. However, the memory effect is activated once a current above the long delay pickup value exists for a long time and then it is cleared by the tripping of a downstream device or the HND3800T52W circuit breaker itself. Note that the amount of delay reduction is inversely related to the amount of time that has passed since the last overload. Additionally, a period of 5 minutes between overloads is required for the memory to complete a reset function.
