The Eaton Cutler-Hammer JGE4200FAG Molded Circuit Breaker is a G Series JG Frame circuit breaker that can be used for the protection of appliances and conductors from short-circuits and from current overload. This breaker is designed with a trip unit that consists of a fixed thermal trip element and an adjustable magnetic trip element for instantaneous trip action, and it also has a line and load side terminal options which guarantee easy field wiring. The JGE4200FAG has a 3-pole wiring design with no protection for neutral lines, and like all Frame JG circuit breakers, it is designed for use in heating, air-conditioning, and refrigerating applications. It has a standard AC voltage rating of 600 Volts AC, with a continuous current rating of 200 Amps, and it offers a maximum interrupting current limiting capacity of 18, 25, and 65 KAIC at 600, 480, and 240 Volts AC, respectively.
For easy and simple field installation, the JGE4200FAG features load and line side terminals made of standard copper/aluminum wire conductors, with an average wire size of 25 by 185 millimeters square, and it has metric rated mounting hardware. It also has a fixed thermal trip unit which uses a bimetal strip heated by a load current for thermal trip action, and it also has a user-adjustable magnetic trip unit, which can be field adjustable to up to 10 times the nominal breaker rating. The JGE4200FAG has a handle toggle type of operating mechanism which provides a means of operating the breaker contacts, and which also help indicate the position of the breaker contacts (on, off, or tripped). It has an operating temperature limit of 40 degrees Celsius, and it can be used within a 0 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity range. The JGE4200FAG weighs approximately 8.0 pounds, with total dimensions of 5.3 x 7.0 x 3.6 inches, and it is IEC, UL, and CSA certified.
