The Eaton Cutler-Hammer JGH325032G circuit breaker is a circuit breaker with the standard line and load terminals and a current rating of 250 Amps. The circuit breaker uses a Digitrip 310+ trip mechanism. The mechanism has RMS (root-mean-square) current sensing. This current sensing method establishes the current of non-sinusoidal and sinusoidal waveforms by repeatedly sampling the current waveform and then calculating the true RMS value. Additionally, the trip mechanism features LSI trip functions. These functions include long-time delay, long-time ampere rating, defeatable instantaneous pickup, short-time delay, and short-time pickup functions.
The JGH325032G circuit breaker’s Digitrip 310+ trip mechanism does not support Arcflash Reduction Maintenance System (ARMS) or a fixed rated plug. However, the breaker has over-temperature trip protection. The circuit breaker has a long delay time ranging from a minimum of 2 seconds to a maximum of 24 seconds, a long delay pickup of between 40 to 100% of the frame size, a thermal memory, and a high load alarm. For instantaneous protection, the JGH325032G circuit breaker does not feature an instantaneous pickup but it does feature an instantaneous override. The circuit breaker is 80% rated. The JGH325032G circuit breaker, like other Eaton circuit breakers, can be used in individual enclosures and in distribution systems to provide main and branch circuit protection. It can also be used in busbar trunking tap-offs to provide circuit protection. The Eaton JGH325032G circuit breaker, like other Eaton Cutler-Hammer circuit breakers in the Series G family and with J frames, has a NEMA rated operating voltage of 600 Volts AC and an IEC rated operating voltage of 690 Volts AC.
