The 1321-3RA100-C line reactor is an Allen-Bradley 3-phase input/output line reactor in an IP11-UL/NEMA Type 1 enclosure. The material used for the construction of the line reactor is sheet steel in accordance with the NEMA and UL requirements. The 1321-3RA100-C line reactor is rated for 100 Amps of current and it has an inductance rating of 0.45 Millihenry. It is one of the products which form the 1321 series from Allen-Bradley which also includes isolation transformers and common mode chokes. The 1321 product line from Allen-Bradley is specifically designed to protect solid-state equipment and motors from power line irregularities. Box lugs are supplied with the line reactor for the purpose of electrical cable termination. The maximum recommended tightening torque is 16.95 N-m and the recommended minimum and maximum cable sizes are 27 and 120 millimeters square, respectively.
When used at the drive input, the 1321-3RA100-C line reactor protects the drive from random tripping and minimizes voltage notching. When used at drive output (at motor input), the reactor protects the motor form surge currents which occur due to rapid load changes and from long lead effects. Additionally, the reactors can protect motors from high peak voltages and against rapid DV/DT rise times. The overload rating for the 1321-3RA100-C line reactor is 300% of the rated fundamental current for 1 minute and 200% of the rated fundamental current for 30 minutes. The maximum switching frequency which the 1321-3RA100-C line reactor supports is 20 kilohertz. The reactor is rated for a temperature rise of 135 degrees Celsius (average). For optimal operation, the ambient temperature around the reactor should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
