The ABB ACS550-01-023A-4 is a variable frequency drive intended for precise control of motor functions. Addressing the needs of industrial applications, this unit adapts to various operational requirements, featuring a three-phase input voltage range of 380 to 480 volts AC. Its design accommodates both normal and heavy-duty operations. For standard tasks, the drive delivers an output power of 11 kW (15 HP). In heavy-duty scenarios, it provides 7.5 kW (10 HP). The drive is capable of outputting a maximum current of 23 A for normal duty and 15.4 A for heavy-duty performance.

This drive supports communication through rs-485/modbus RTU, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into larger control systems. It also includes extensive I/O capabilities, comprising two analog inputs, six digital inputs, two analog outputs, and three relay outputs, which enhance its versatility in various applications. Maintaining efficiency within the specified frequency range of 50/60 Hz, the drive can operate at speeds between 0 and 500 Hz.

Built to withstand industrial conditions, the ACS550 comes with an IP21 enclosure rating, ensuring appropriate protection against dust and moisture. The physical dimensions of the drive are 585 mm in height, 240 mm in width, and 400 mm in depth. Additionally, it boasts an overload capacity of 150% for 60 seconds in heavy-duty applications and 110% for 60 seconds in normal duty. The drive is also capable of supporting external braking resistors, which enhance its performance during dynamic braking situations.
