The Allen-Bradley 1321-3R4-B iline reactor s a line protection device. Specifically, it is a line reactor that is designed to protect the connected equipment from surges and harmonics in the power lines. The performance specifications for the 1321-3R4-B line reactor include 4 Amps of fundamental current, 20 Watts of power dissipation, and 6.5 Millihenry of inductance (based on the fundamental current). The mechanical specifications include 4 kilograms of weight and device dimensions of 4 x 4.2 x 2.6 inches. The environmental specifications include 50 degrees Celsius of peak ambient temperature and 1000 meters of maximum operating altitude. The 1321-3R4-B line reactor is supplied with an integral-mounted terminal block for wiring termination. The maximum and minimum cable sizes recommended by Allen-Bradley are 10 AWG and 22 AWG, respectively. The maximum recommended torque is 0.51 N-m. The 1321-3R4-B line reactor is certified by CE, CSA, and UL 508 standards.

The enclosure of the 1321-3R4-B line reactor is open and it has the IP 00 rating. The line reactor can be used on 3-phase power lines. The DV/DT protection available on the line reactor meets the NEMA MG-1 part 31 specifications. The overload ratings for the device are as follows: 200% of the fundamental current for 30 minutes and 300% of the fundamental current for up to 1 minute. Harmonic compensation is available on the 1321-3R4-B line reactor which compensates for the currents and frequencies caused by the presence of harmonics. The maximum rated voltage which can be used with the device is 690 Volts AC. The peak switching frequency which the line reactor can support is 20 kilohertz. When used at the drive input, the 1321-3R4-B line reactor can protect the drive from spurious tripping and spikes on the incoming power lines.
