The Allen-Bradley 1331-AAF10 drive is an analog Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) with an IP 20 NEMA Type 1 enclosure that is designed to be installed in a protected panel board and provided with a single-phase power supply for an input voltage rating of 208, 220, or 240 AC, at 50 to 60 Hertz frequency. It is capable of producing a Pulse Width Modulated output frequency ranging from 0.37 to 1.5 kilowatts at 230 Volts AC, using Darlington power transistors as the switching devices and a completely analog configuration board with precision potentiometers and/or DIP switch selections to choose between several types of user-defined features. The current rating of the Allen-Bradley 1331-AAF10 drive is 4.2 Amps of RMS output current, at 0.75 kilowatts (1 Horsepower) of nominal output power.

 

There is no software interface or touchpad on the Allen-Bradley 1331-AAF10 drive, but it is a high-quality electronic machine that uses precision, military-grade variable resistors or potentiometers to manually set parameters such as the application’s starting torque, acceleration/deceleration, maximum and minimum output frequency, and meter signal calibration settings. There are also Dipswitch-selectable parameters for choosing between the different available output frequency ranges, from 0 to 50 Hertz, 0 to 60 Hertz, 0 to 100 Hertz, or 0 to 120 Hertz. Commissioning the Allen Bradley 1331-AAF10 drive is simple because the only control inputs needed are the run/stop control (from the local panel or user-supplied), the forward/reverse control (from the local panel or user-supplied), and the speed control (from a user-supplied potentiometer, a potentiometer in the local panel, or a 0 to 10 Volts DC external voltage source).
