The Allen-Bradley 1333-AAB Adjustable Frequency Drive is a digital variable frequency AC drive (VFD) in the 1333 drive family, which provides digital motor control in a variety of applications. This drive provides output control using a pulse width modulated control signal, which provides excellent speed control by varying the frequency of connected servo motors, and also the output voltage of the drive. It has a nominal drive rating of 1 Horsepower (0.75 kW) at 460 Volts AC (3-phase) and unlike many drives in the series, the 1333-AAB has a 3-phase voltage rating. The 1333-AAB has a current rating of 3.3 Amps with a power rating of 2.6KVA at 460 Volts AC, and it has an output of 2.1 Amps and 1.7KVA at 460 Volts AC. It has a 3-phase line input voltage range of 380 Volts AC to 460 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz, and a voltage tolerance of -10% and +10%, and this drive offers a BUS overvoltage trip of 810 Volts DC and an under-voltage trip of 310 Volts DC. It has a power ride-through time of 15 milliseconds which is dependent on the load, and a control logic ride-thru time of 100 milliseconds, which is also dependent on the output load. This drive protects against stalling and it offers 140% overload capacity for 1 minute. The 1333-AAB has a programmable over-current trip limit of 200%, and it offers up to 760 Volts DC decal stall protection. Like every 1333 drive, it has the capability to detect and prevent ground faults, and it has an overload trip value that can be programmed to any set value.
The 1333-AAB has an output boost of 40%, with 150% starting torque and a DC heavy dynamic braking torque of up to 100% of the rated drive torque. It employs the Volts per Hertz motor control method and uses a Sine-Coded PWM for out speed control. It has an output frequency range, programmable from 0 and 400 Hertz, corresponding to 0 to 460 Volts AC adjustable output voltage limits, and it has ± 0.5% of output frequency regulation at –10 to 50 degrees Celsius. The 1333-AAB, like every 1333 drive, features 4 separate and programmable deceleration and acceleration times, programmed from 0.1 seconds to 1600 seconds, and it has a stopping frequency range of 0.5 to 60 Hertz. It has multiple control inputs (digital and analog) which are configured for various drive functions, and it also has 1 NO output contact with both resistive and inductive ratings, and a single 0 to 10 Volts DC or 4mA to 20mA analog output. The 1333-AAB is easily configured using its front panel LCD, which displays the drive’s input/output value as well as fault codes if a  fault occurs. It has a NEMA Type 1 rated enclosure, with rated working temperature limits between 14 and 122 degrees Fahrenheit at a non-condensing humidity range of 5 to 95%, and it has a designated storage temperature limit within –13 and 149 degrees Fahrenheit.
