The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDBMX3-SP57D is the gate driver PCB for 1336 PLUS, PLUS II, FORCE, and IMPACT series AC drives. It is available as a spare part and one 1336-BDBMX3-SP57D PCB is required per drive. The 1336-BDBMX3-SP57D is the gate driver board for the 460 Volts AC, X40 Horsepower, Frame C drives from the 1336 PLUS, PLUS II, FORCE, and IMPACT drive families. Very high voltage levels are present in working drives. To prevent injury to operators and damage to the equipment, Allen-Bradley has made a number of recommendations with respect to the replacement of faulty parts for 1336 PLUS, PLUS II, FORCE, IMPACT series of drives. The prime recommendation is that system power to the working drive should be deactivated prior to the start of any maintenance activity. The maintenance activity should be started only after the bus voltage has discharged completely (brake terminals are provided for the measurement of bus voltages).

In addition, only experienced and trained personnel should be involved in performing the maintenance activity or the installation and they should either follow the guidelines detailed in the included troubleshooting guides or they should carry out the maintenance activity under the supervision of the manufacturer’s customer support teams. Additionally, the service staff are required to wear a wrist-type grounding strap to prevent equipment damage due to ESD or electrostatic discharge. After replacing faulty cards - such as the 1336-BDBMX3-SP57D - all safety systems should be replaced. Failure to replace all the safety systems could lead to serious injury or death. The main system power to the drive should only be activated after the replacement of all the safety systems has been completed.
