The 1336-CT-SP1A is a current transducer manufactured by Allen-Bradley under the 1336 adjustable drives series. The current transducer carries a voltage of 24 Volts and it has a ratio of 1:2000. The 1336-CT-SP1A is designed so that it can operate on a 3-phase power supply system with symmetrical line voltages. The current transducer has been designed with surge suppression devices included to ensure the protection of the 1336-CT-SP1A from any lightning induced overvoltage that might occur between the line and also the ground. It is equipped with a Metal Oxide Varistor that offers the current transducer with voltage surge protection. Generally, the 1336-CT-SP1A is suitable for direct connection to an AC line of the right voltage.

The 1336-CT-SP1A is installed with either input fuses an input circuit breaker. The 1336-CT-SP1A comes with start and stop modes whose circuitry includes solid-state components. The 1336-CT-SP1A also comes with an additional hardwired stop circuit that can be used to remove AC line power to the drive in case of the hazards due to accidental contact with moving machinery. The immunity of the 1336-CT-SP1A to externally generated interference is good. It is good to ensure that the coils of DC energized contactors associated with the 1336-CT-SP1A be suppressed with a diode or a similar device. This is because they can generate electrical transients.
