The Allen Bradley 1336-F1-SP16A is a BUS FUSE for Adjustable Frequency AC Drives. This unit is a spare part for a variety of Allen-Bradley drives, including the 1336 PLUS, the PLUS II, the FORCE, the IMPACT, and the REGEN AC drive series, all of which are manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This spare part can only be used with drives that have a 25 Hp at 575 Volt rating and it is applicable only to “Frame C” AC drives. This spare part is covered with a number of level 2 spare part designation “Minor Assemblies”. This spare part is a semiconductor Form 101 fuse. This fuse kit consists of a fuse itself and of 2 screws and 4 washers. The bus fuse that should be replaced is located at the top of the heat sink (under the load sharing resistor and above the power module). To access it, the Gate Driver Board must be completely removed. Before beginning any type of maintenance on or near this set-up, always disconnect power from the drive and check that there is no residual voltage; this can be done by measuring the voltage between +DC and –DC on terminal block TB1. This bus voltage must be 0 volts.

If unsure whether or not his part is broken, take a multimeter and set it to measure resistance. Check for an open condition across the Bus Fuse 1336-F1-SP16A. If it does show an open condition, then the fuse must be replaced. This fuse will be found fixed to the drive with two bolts; remove these two bolts and take out the fuse. Install the 1336-F1-SP16A  bus fuse in reverse order of removal; remember to place all guards back to their place before applying power to the device. Failure to do this may result in death or serious injury.
