The 1336-FAN-SP3A is a cooling fan component of Allen-Bradley’s 1336 Adjustable Frequency AC Drive. This cooling fan is designed incompatibility with 1336 Plus, 1336 Force, 1336 Impact, and 1336 plus II drives specifically used with Frame E drives with a rated power of 150 HP, 200 HP, and 250 HP. The 1336-FAN-SP3A maintains an internal temperature of the host drive within the operating temperature and prevents triggering of the Overtemperature error ( Faults Parameter 08) of the drive which is linked to the heat sink temperature exceeding the predefined drive setting of 90 Degree Celsius r 195 Degree Fahrenheit. A failing fan or improper installation of the drive, particularly not following the required mounting clearances are the primary cause of this overtemperature error. The 1336-FAN-SP3A comes with a CHB1 fan capacitor that contributes to the improvement of the power factor. This cooling fan is rated 115 VAC at 60 Hz, 1.75 Amperes, and power consumption of 230 Watts. It has an assembly level of 3 which classify the device as a discrete component. Recommended stocking locations include GTS. This cooling fan has a troubleshooting symbol referred to as FANS. One (1) Cooling fan component is required to be installed per 1336 adjustable frequency AC drive. When installing the 1336-FAN-SP3A to the host drive, the Fan motor must be tightened to place at a Torque of 14 lb-in or 2 N-m while the Fan cover assembly is fastened to the chassis at a Torque of 26 Lb-in or 3 N-m. In addition, the Fan transformer is installed to the transformer chassis at a Torque of 26 Lb-in or 3 N-m. while the Fan capacitor is hand-tighten.
The Allen-Bradley 1336-FAN-SP3A is a fan used in Rockwell Automation drives that control the motors used on industrial floors. The 1336-FAN-SP3A is a crucial component of the drive since the temperatures in the drives need to be maintained within a specific range to guarantee the proper operation of the drives. With most 1336 adjustable frequency drives, the operating temperature should be maintained at a range of between 0 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Celsius. With the 1336-FAN-SP3A installed in these drives, the temperature, as well as the air circulation, is kept in the required range. The 1336-FAN-SP3A fan has a Type E frame and only a single fan is required when used with drives with a Horsepower rating of 75, 100, or 125 Horsepower. The 1336-FAN-SP3A includes a CHB1 fan capacitor. The function of the capacitor is to increase the power factor. This capacitor may contain high charges and it should, therefore, be completely discharged when servicing the 1336-FAN-SP3A or the entire drive. If not properly discharged, the charges are bound to cause fatal injuries to servicing personnel. The 1336-FAN-SP3A is KC certified. Additionally, for the 1336-FAN-SP3A to optimally control the temperature and the airflow inside an adjustable frequency drive, the drive should be mounted in an industrial environment with sufficient airflow and humidity ranging from 5 to 95% without condensation. Mounting the drive in a stuffed environment will only undermine the functioning of the 1336-FAN-SP3A which leads to the internal components of the drive heating, thus affecting the overall performance of the 1336 variable frequency drive.
