The Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-FA1 is an operator panel compatible with adjustable frequency AC drives that are part of the 1336 series of drives. The 1336-MOD-FA1 panel is a blank panel with an enclosure rating of NEMA Type 1, open. The 1336 series of drives have different types available, namely PLUS, PLUS II, IMPACT, FORCE, and CLASSIC, and the 1336-MOD-FA1 operator panel can be used for any of these types. They also feature a UL panel recognition and are equipped with various communication ports, including DeviceNet ports, analog I/O, single-point RIO, RS232/422/485 ports, and Enhanced DeviceNet ports.

The HP ratings of these drives range from as low as 3 HP to as high as 800 HP. For general performance, 1336 drives that are ideal for users’ applications are the PLUS II, CLASSIC, and PLUS drives but if the users require high performance, the FORCE and IMPACT drives are the most suitable drives for those kinds of applications. When using the 1336-MOD-FA1 operator panel with a 1336 series drive, it is important that it is located at an altitude no more than 1000 m and with an ambient temperature that falls between 0 and 40 °C or 32 and 104 °F during operation.

All 1336 series drives offer safety features and these include protection against motor overload, under and over voltage, output ground fault, and output short circuit. They also feature a hardware enable, which can be found at the terminal 30 of the drive. Note that the terminal 30 of a 1336 series drive is a non-programmable input. When this particular input is opened, the drive’s operation will halt and it will do a ‘coast to stop’ instead of doing the stop mode that has been set.
