This adapter boasts impressive communication capabilities, allowing a remote I/O link distance of up to 10,000 feet at a speed of 57.6 kBd when using Belden 9463 cable. For applications requiring faster data transfer, it supports high-speed I/O distances of 5,000 feet at 115.2 kBd under similar wiring conditions. The drive serial link can reach lengths of 100 feet when paired with Alpha 1218 cable.

The device is designed to be compatible with PLC series processors, namely PLC-2/30, PLC-3, and PLC-5, ensuring integration with existing control systems is straightforward. It can support a full rack configuration of up to four 1336 drives, or a half rack configuration of two drives, thus providing scalability for solid performance in various applications.
