The 1336-MOD-KA005 1336/1336VT/1336 PLUS/PLUS II/IMPACT 1336 FORCE Drives Dynamic Braking by Allen-Bradley is a heavy-duty dynamic braking module for the Allen-Bradley 1336 Plus, Plus II, Impact, and Force drives which provides a cost-effective braking system to an AC PWM drive. The device consists of a dynamic resistor and a chopper module. The chopper module consists of protective fuses which are fitted with a Cross Bar SCR, a Chopper Transistor which is an Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT), a Chopper Transistor Voltage control, and a Free Wheel Diode which is installed parallel to the Dynamic Brake Resistor. When operational, the 1336-MOD-KA005 offers 100% braking torque for 20s, and it has about 20% normal duty cycle. It utilizes DC power, supplied from a DC BUS, with an operational voltage of 230V AC, and with an enabling signal of 50mAit, it has an optional Normally Open (NO) Brake Fault Contact, with 115V AC user-supplied contact rating, and it has an Initial Contact Resistance of 50mΩ.
