The Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-L2 Board is a product manufactured by Rockwell Automation and it is powered by DC voltage. The Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-L2 is a 5V DC TTL logic interface board. It is compatible with and works well with the 1336 drive family. This logic interface board is always used with the contact closures of the drives. It also features NEMA Type 12 basic control panels, with the START, STOP, and JOG push buttons, a reverse or forward switch, and a single-turn speed potentiometer. This drive and the entire 1336 drives have HP ratings ranging from 3 HP to 800 HP.

The 1336 series has different types of drives such as the FORCE, IMPACT, CLASSIC, PLUS, and PLUS II drives. Any of these types can be used with the Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-L2 logic interface board. These drives are also equipped with a UL panel recognition, and dissimilar communication and I/O ports. Some of them are analog I/O, some are Enhanced DeviceNet ports, some are RS232/422/485 ports, some are DeviceNet ports, and some are single-point RIO.

The 1336 series of drives, as well as the Allen-Bradley 1336-MOD-L2 logic interface board, have safety features such as protection against motor overload, output short circuits, output ground faults, over voltage, and protection against under voltage. Additionally, these drives have a hardware-enabler positioned at the drive’s non-programmable input, precisely at Terminal 30. The general performance applications are best utilized with the PLUS, PLUS II, and CLASSIC 1336 drives. On the other hand, the high-performance applications are best used with the FORCE and the IMPACT 1336 drives.
