The Allen-Bradley 1336-SCR-SP14A input SCR assembly kit is an input SCR assembly kit containing a spare input SCR assembly for the Allen-Bradley Plus, Force, Plus II, and Impact drives. It provides high voltage control for the converter module of the drives, and it is located below the heatsink at the converter end of the drive. The 1336-SCR-SP14A input SCR assembly is supplied as an assembly kit contacting installation accessories and a 1-piece input SCR. The 1336-SCR-SP14A input SCR assembly is designed for the G-frameĀ drives with operating voltage ratings of 575 Volts AC, and withĀ output power ranges of 300 to 650 Horsepower.
The 1336-SCR-SP14A input SCR assembly is tested forĀ optimal conditions by using a testing meter and comparing the SCR readings to the standard table readings, and replacingĀ the input SCR if the reading does not match the table reading. To replace a damaged SCR, turn off the power to the drive and check for zero voltage at the TB1 (-DC and +DC) terminals. Check for any residual control voltage at the TB10, TB11, and the L-option board terminals (if there are any). Remove the gate driveĀ board and control board mounting plates to gain access to the board. Remove the J1 connector on the board and remove the fastening screws holding the board to the driveās converter bracket. Replace the old input SCR with the spare 1336-SCR-SP14A input SCR assembly, and couple the drive in the reverse order of the removal process. More information on installing the 1336-SCR-SP14A input SCR assembly and other Allen-Bradley 1336 drive components can be found in the 1336 IMPACT-6.2, 1336 FORCE-6.2, or 1336 PLUS-6.2Ā troubleshooting guides.
