The 1336-SCR-SP17A input SCR assembly kit is an input SCR kit for the Allen-Bradley Impact, Plus II, Force, and Plus variable frequency AC drives. This input SCR kit is installed below the driveās heatsink on the converter assembly, and it provides high power controls. The 1336-SCR-SP17A input SCR assembly kit contains one input SCR and installation accessories that includes a mounting plateĀ and fastening screws. The 1336-SCR-SP17A input SCR kit is compatible with the 460 Volts AC, F-frame, 1336 Force, Impact, Plus, and Plus II drives with output power ratings from 250 to 450 Horsepower.
The 1336-SCR-SP17A input SCR kit is installed right under the heatsink, close to the gate drive board mounting plate, and it is recommended to test the input rectifier board whenever a power module is replaced. A testing meter set to diode mode is used for testing the board, and the readings are compared to the standard table reading. If the SCR reading differs from the standard table reading, the input SCR should be replaced. To replace the input SCR, remove the driveās enclosure and turn off the power from the drive. Check for zero VoltsĀ at the TB terminals and control voltage at the TB terminals. Detach the main control board mounting plate and the gate driveĀ board mounting plate to gain access to the input rectifier snubber board. Detach the input rectifier snubber board by removing the 2 fasting screws holding it tight to the converter bracket. Replace it with the 1336-SCR-SP17A input SCR assembly, and reconnect it back to the converter bracket. Attach the main control board and the gate driveĀ mounting plates, and reconnect power back to the drive.
