The Allen-Bradley 1336R-VB180-AN-HAP which is part of 1336 REGEN product line features a voltage of 380 to 480 Volts AC. This module also features a current rating of 180.4 Amps. It has a Programmer-Only Human Interface Option and an IPOO open enclosure type. The REGEN product line package represents an amp-rated package which helps in providing a DC bus directly to one or more common drives found in the REGEN DC Bus Supply mode. When using the 1336R-VB180-AN-HAP Regeneration Package, there is a need for a power-up sequence so as to avoid clearing the DC bus fuses between the drive and the regenerative brake and also the AC line fuses on the input of the AC drive.

The fuses featured in the 1336R-VB180-AN-HAP package will clear if the AC drive and this package are both powered up simultaneously from the AC supply. This problem can simply be avoided by powering up the regenerative brake just before the AC drive is connected to the AC line. The capacitor bank in both the connected AC drive and the 1336 REGEN converter will both be charged by the 1336 REGEN Precharge circuit. This will make it easier for the AC line to be connected safely to the AC drive. A few guidelines should be considered before deciding on the installation site of the 1336R-VB180-AN-HAP package. This includes verifying that all the units have been kept cool, clean, and dry. The user should also ensure that the units are kept away from oil, metal powder, direct sunlight, and other airborne contaminants. The units should not also be close to instruments which are sensitive to electrical noise and should not also be exposed to excessive noise and vibration. The area which has been chosen for installation should be spacious enough for enough air flow. The relative humidity level needs to be between 5 and 95% without condensation.
