The SP-135766 Transistor with Snubber Kit by Allen-Bradley is a transistor kit (user supplied) with a snubber for the Allen-Bradley 1336 B003-B010 rating code drive ratings. It is located in the transistor module near the center of the drive’s main chassis, adjacent to the drive’s heatsink, and it is for amplifying and for switching electrical signals. The Allen-Bradley SP-135766 Transistor Module has a snubber which protects against line input voltage spikes, it is directly connected to the heat sink via the bridge rectifier.

It can be attached to the drive chassis through the following steps (1) Replace the perform between the transistor and the drive’s heat sink, (2) Attach the transistor and it supplied snubber to the heat sink, with supplied fastening screw, with 22 to 31 pounds on an inch of screw torque (snubber), and 22 to 31 pounds on an inch screw torque (transistor), (3) Attach the BUS bars to the transistor, and attached all connected wires to the transistor module, (4) Place the snubber on top of the transistor, (5) attached the Base Driver/Power Supply Board to the drive, (6) Attach the TB1 Terminals for the positive and negative DC current to the drive with 26 to 31 pounds on an inch of fastening screw torque, (7) Turn on the power to the drive. The SP-135766 Transistor and Snubber Kit are tested for reliability by using the test meter set to monitor and test the diode mode, and this test is carried out when the meter reading is compared to the standard supplied table readings, and if the reading does not match the table readings, the SP-135766 Transistor Module needs to be replaced.
