The Allen-Bradley 1336E-BRF20-AA-EN-HA1-L5 drive is a digitally programmable variable speed controller. The controller is part of the Allen-Bradley 1336 IMPACT family of digitally programmable adjustable frequency controllers. The 1336E-BRF20-AA-EN-HA1-L5, as with other controllers in the same family, has a unique feature such as bus regulation. This helps the controller to reduce the chances of an overvoltage trip which is bound to occur on relatively high-inertia loads. The bus regulation feature functions by constantly monitoring the internal DC bus voltage which it uses to regulate the output frequency and it consequently prevents the 1336E-BRF20-AA-EN-HA1-L5 from displaying an overvoltage fault. The Allen-Bradley 1336E-BRF20-AA-EN-HA1-L5, as with other controllers in the IMPACT family, has an input frequency tolerance that ranges from a minimum of 48 Hertz to a maximum of 62 Hertz.

The Allen-Bradley 1336E-BRF20-AA-EN-HA1-L5 variable speed controller can be operated with an input voltage supplied from either a 3-phase or a single-phase source. However, with a 3-phase power source, the 1336E-BRF20-AA-EN-HA1-L5 presents 100% on its output while a single-phase power source presents 50% of the controller’s output power. The voltage tolerance for the 1336E-BRF20-AA-EN-HA1-L5 stands at a minimum of -10% and a maximum of +10% of the rated input voltage. The 1336E-BRF20-AA-EN-HA1-L5 interfaces with the operator through an onboard human-machine interface module which contains programmer/controller functions and an analog potentiometer. The 1336E-BRF20-AA-EN-HA1-L5 controller supports 24 Volts DC/AC on its control interface option. When operating at normal duty, the controller can control a motor with an apparent power rating of 1.5 KiloWatts.
