The 1336-BDB-SP21C PCB is a PCB or gate drive board by Allen-Bradley that compatible for use with Allen-Bradley 1336 Plus (S), 1336 Plus II (F), 1336 Force (T) and 1336 Impact (E) adjustable frequency drives. This gate drive board operates with a voltage rating of 575 Volts AC and a 30 Horsepower output power rating. The normal operating frequency of this gate drive board is 50 to 60 Hertz. The 1336-BDB-SP21C gate drive board is installed between the main control board and chassis, separated by a gate drive board mounting plate. The connection of the gate drive board to an adjustable frequency drive is accomplished with the use of jumper wires. When replacing this part, ensure that bus voltage reads Zero (0) Volts and that the lock-out power is disconnected first.  Bus voltage can be confirmed by measuring the voltage across Terminals +DC and -DC of the TB1 terminal.

Consider replacing the 1336-BDB-SP21C gate drive board when there is an EE INIT READ 53 error warning or when the bus voltage is not present even if the power is applied. The input and output power connections are made through terminal block TB1 on this gate driver board for drives with Frame Size B (including the 1 to 15 Horsepower and 240 Volts, 1 to 30 Horsepower and 380 Volts, and the 1 to 20 Horsepower and 600 Volts rated drives). Drives with higher Horsepower ratings such as drives with Frame Sizes C, D, E, G, and H have their TB1 terminal blocks located on the bottom of the drive where both the input and output power connections need to be made. Alternatively, the 1336-BDB-SP21C gate drive board can be replaced by the 1336-BDB-SP21D gate driver board.
