sThe Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP23D PCB Board is a Gate Driver board for the Allen-Bradley 1336 PLUS, PLUS II, FORCE, and IMPACT drives. It has a 575 Volts AC operating voltage and 50 Horsepower output rating, and it is located underneath the driver’s main control board, and it is used for amplifying low current input from the drive power supply board to high current drive input, especially for the high power transistor. The 1336-BDB-SP23D PCB Gate Driver Board has 7 jumper connectors (J2, J6, J7, J8, J9, J10, and J13) for connecting to device connectors on the main control board, and it has a Terminal Base Strip called TB4 that is used as a 24 Volts DC auxiliary input. It is installed on the drive via the following steps.
(1) Attach the gate driver board to the drive’s control panel mounting plate, (2) Turn the 8 supplied standoff screws in a ¼ clockwise direction, with a screw torque of 3N-m (26 pounds on an inch), to fasten the 1336-BDB-SP23D to the main control board mounting plate, (3) Connect the jumper connectors (J2 through J13) to the connectors from the main control board, (4) Insert the main control board with the already attached PCB Gate Driver Board to the drive circuit board platform, (5) Attach the positive and negative DC brake terminals, (6) Turn on the power to the drive. The 1336-BDB-SP23D PCB Gate Drive Board is tested for good working condition using a test meter set in the resistance mode and Fuse 1 and Fuse 3 are both tested for open conditions, and then the test meter is set to the diode mode and its reading is compared to a standard table reading.
