The 1336-BDB-SP41A printed circuit board or PCB is a spare part for the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1336 family of adjustable frequency drives. This particular spare part is a PCB or a gate drive board that is compatible for use with Allen-Bradley 1336 Plus (S), Plus II (F), Force (T) and Impact (E) adjustable frequency drives. The PCB can be used with a voltage rating of 575 Volts AC and it also comes with a 200 Horsepower output power rating. The normal operating frequency of the PCB gate driver is 50-60 Hertz. The 1336-BDB-SP41A gate drive PCB is installed between the main control board and the drive’s chassis, and these parts are separated by a gate drive board mounting plate. The connection of the gate drive PCB is accomplished with the use of jumper wires.
When replacing the 1336-BDB-SP41A board, ensure that the bus voltage reads 0 Volts and that the lockout power is disconnected. The bus voltage can be confirmed by measuring the voltage across terminals +DC and -DC of the drive’s TB1 terminal. Consider replacing the gate drive PCB when error displays EE INIT READ 53 messages are triggered or when the bus voltage is not present even if the power is applied. The input and output power connections are made through terminal block TB1 on the 1336-BDB-SP41A gate drive board for drives with Frame Size B and ratings of 1 to 15 Horsepower and 240 Volts, 1 to 30 Horsepower and 380 Volts, or 1 to 20 Horsepower and 600 Volts. For drives with a higher Horsepower rating and Frame Sizes C, D, E, G, and H, the TB1 terminal blocks are located on the bottom of the drive where both the input and output power connections need to be made.
