The 1336-BDB-SP50A board is a spare part for the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1336 family of adjustable frequency drives. This unit is a PCB gate drive board that is compatible for use with the 1336 Plus (S), Plus II (F), Force (T), and Impact (E) drives. The 1336-BDB-SP50A board can be used with a voltage rating of 575 Volts AC and it comes with a 600 Horsepower output power rating. The normal operating frequency of the PCB is 50 to 60 Hertz. Installed between the main control board and chassis, the gate drive turns the IGBT brake on and off and it supplies power to the main control and isolation boards in the drive. The drive has a dedicated gate drive board mounting plate for easy maintenance and removal.

The 1336-BDB-SP50A board connects to the mainboard by using jumper wires and ribbon cable. The input and output power connections to other boards and circuitry are made through terminal block TB1 on the gate drive board for drives with Frame Size B that are rated at 1 to 15 Horsepower and 240 Volts, 1 to 30 Horsepower and 380 Volts. or 1 to 20 Horsepower and 600 Volts. Drives with higher Horsepower ratings and frame sizes C, D, E, G, and H, TB1 terminal blocks are located on the bottom of the drive where both the input and output power connections are to be made. During the uninstallation of the 1336-BDB-SP50A board, the driver board mounting plate must be removed first.  Ensure that the lockout power is disconnected from the drive before disassembly. Verify the presence of voltage by measuring the +DC and -DC values on terminal block TB1. Initiate drive service only when the bus voltage has been discharged to 0 Volts.
