The 1336-BDB-SP50C board is a spare part board for the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1336 family of adjustable frequency drives. This particular spare part is a PCB (printed circuit board) or gate drive board that is compatible for use with the 1336 Plus (S), Plus II (F), Force (T), and Impact (E) series drives. The 1336-BDB-SP50C board turns the IGBT brake circuit on and off and it supplies power to the main control and isolation boards. This printed circuit board can be used with a voltage rating of 575 Volts AC, it has a 600 Horsepower output power rating, and it functions in an operating frequency range of 50 to 60 Hertz.

The 1336-BDB-SP50C gate drive PCB is an amplifier device that converts a lower power input into a high current that is used by the IGBT brake. The board is installed between the main control board and chassis, separated by a dedicated gate drive board mounting plate for easy maintenance and removal. The unit connects to the mainboard through terminals supporting jumper connections and ribbon cables. The input and output power are made through terminal block TB1 on the gate drive board for drives with a Frame Size of B rated at 1 to 15 Horsepower and 240 Volts, 1 to 30 Horsepower and 380 Volts, or 1 to 20 Horsepower and 600 Volts. Drives with higher Horsepower ratings (frame sizes C, D, E, G, and H), the TB1 terminal blocks are located on the bottom of the drive. The replacement of the 1336-BDB-SP50C board requires the uninstallation of the drive board mounting plate must first.  Ensure that the lockout power is disconnected from the drive before disassembly and verify that bus voltage is discharged to 0 Volts. The +DC and -DC points on terminal block TB1 provide readouts of the bus voltage. Initiate drive service only when the bus voltage has been discharged to 0 Volts.
